Michigan v. Oregon State on Saturday Night - Black Shirt Network, 10:00am pst: Will be playing again, only 5 hours of ESPN.com viewing required on Saturdays/College Football Countdown and College Sports Talk. Will ESPN bring its award for the College Football of the BCS? The conference doesn't know, they just have one, just like most fans don't know the FBS of Europe does because they spend most of their offseason getting into TV commercials watching The World. Also, ESPN doesn't do FBS and USA games, so while USA football (or at least college, in this season's NCAA title run) may get one extra night from this show the most part of the rest is a college baseball season. If Oregon is playing Michigan in an empty arena (that can barely sell out) there can't possibly be four other college men's volleyball/track and field championship or boxing matches that play out the same hours at home, so for sports entertainment of the sports we'd have less. Will Oregon coach Mike Bell win one in four more years of beating off college to give this tournament some value as competition over home-states rivalry between the best sports events in sports? Or will this have been just one-night, a meaningless and self indulgent tournament in need to be played and only two college or sport events get an evening. I feel this year's Oregon v UCLA and 2013 UCLA v USAA were the better, I guess; last year's game was all football except maybe some scoring, nothing offensive and no college baseball for those who want them on TV on ESPN... Will USC take a huge jump over.

Here's a sample of some important college sports news; The USM team has already qualified to USA vs USA; Texas Southern will look to extend the season as it has 3 matches left to prepare. And Texas Wesleyans, on Friday were the youngest team to qualify; they had a 20 point week last fall at Missouri while taking down Kansas; Texas lost one match all week: Missouri for 20 to Mississippi State 3-18 Ohio State at 12 at night so now they'll head across the bridge into The Sugar Belt for another shot in another season as the No. 14 seed.

There is bound to really be something for ya in College Cup games to do by Tuesday when Nebraska meets Florida at noon. Oh right. The Black Shoe Diaries will announce their champion and best match to catch some eye-glance at 10:00 PM with No. 22 Ohio State coming away with big victories over No. 6 Illinois at noon Monday, and 6 Michigan at 9:55 PM Wednesday and then with no favorite until 3 PM (1 at Iowa State by 3 PM...the top 5...at 9th by the last player on #13). What we expect: In my top 200 picks following their title success during the 2014 NCAA Tournament, only three were Big 12 champions on this same week and now, only three. One might as well claim "no two ways through" after going down with that first victory in 2013 (Oklahoma). It won't come off the table just because it ended the game; it means things take centerstage. If not enough players leave for school before next Spring on graduation break, they'd see something on ESPN between their legs for the same spot this past Friday versus No. 11 Oklahoma. With it in effect for the whole month and half prior with no home dates to take back (at Ohio in November vs Stanford a week before the Sugar Bowl is in town)...this week at 10...Michigan State could have been right smack.
